The annual Cole Eye Institute Retina Summit will take place Saturday, May 1, 2021 prior to the virtual ARVO Annual Meeting.   

The virtual summit will include didactic presentations and discussions focused on recent clinical study results and their application to clinical practice. The program will have interactive case-based sessions, with a dedicated audience question-and-answer session.   

Course Objectives

At the conclusion of this activity, participants will be able to: 

  • Diagnosis retinal diseases and assess treatment response using new and emerging imaging modalities  
  • Assess clinical evidence supporting approved therapeutics for retinal diseases
  • Understand the role of biosimilar drugs in clinical practice 
  • Recognize the emerging role of port delivery systems 
  • Prepare for the entry of bispecific molecules and other emerging therapies for neovascular AMD and diabetic macular edema 
  • Detail how complement inhibitors may slow the growth of geographic atrophy
  • Optimize retinal surgical outcomes through appropriate patient selection and use of retinal surgical systems  

Target Audience

The Cole Eye Institute Retina Summit is for retina specialists, comprehensive ophthalmologists, retina fellows, and healthcare providers who are interested in applying the most recent advancements in retina.
