The annual Cole Eye Institute Retina Summit takes place live prior the ARVO Annual Meeting in San Diego, California.

The summit will include didactic presentations and discussions focused on recent clinical study results and their application to clinical practice. The program will have interactive case-based sessions, with a dedicated audience question-and-answer session.

Learning Objectives

At the conclusion of this activity, participants will be able to:

  • Evaluate strategies to improve disease monitoring and personalized treatment intervals in patients with neovascular AMD, including high-dose anti-VEGF therapy and home-based OCT. 
  • Describe the evolving treatment landscape in geographic atrophy (GA), including the clinical rationale for early intervention with complement inhibitors. 
  • Discuss emerging gene and cell-based therapies for retinal diseases including their mechanisms of action, including vector delivery strategies. 
  • Assess the clinical utility of multimodal imaging and artificial intelligence (AI) to enhance diagnosis, disease progression tracking, and treatment decision-making in retinal diseases.
